More recently, we have provided specialist advice and support on how Lavendon can improve the efficiency of transport operations, undertaken by an in-house fleet of circa 124 vehicles and over 70 contractors.
We accurately modelled transport operations in the UK and Germany to determine the optimum number of owned vehicles for each hire depot.
Following an analysis of cost savings a programme was implemented to reduce fuel consumption and improve transport purchasing.
Finally, we made recommendations for improvements to Lavendon’s management information system measures.
